Hey I'm kind of new at writing poetry any advice?

-Unless you post some of your poems, it's somewhat difficult to say how you can improve.



The urge write poetry won't fire up in who don't like poetry. And when you have that urge, you must keep on writing or else the creativity dies down.



You must read some poetry first to know how people did it already.



Even better if you can see some criticism of poetry that's already published.



It's easy to find many poetry sites where you can post and see how people respond to your work. And never forget to comment on other's poems if you expect to get some comments on your poems. That helps you to further develop your skill and write better poetry.Write about what you see, like, enjoy doing, mostly, feel. Write about what you FEEL. Turn your feelings into words. They're not ALWAYS supposed to rhyme. Just write your feelings down, and then convert them into poetry. Life is poetry without words.
No matter what your doing if you have an idea write it down.

use descriptive words.

make sure you get your message through.
